How verification works
Proof of enrollment required
Every review requires a team invoice, payment receipt, or roster screenshot before it's eligible to publish. No exceptions.
Manual verification
Our team reviews the submitted document against the claimed program and season before the review is approved, typically within 48 hours.
Identity stays private
Programs never see who wrote a review or what document was submitted. They can only see the published review text and respond to it.
No removals, only responses
A published, verified review cannot be deleted by the program it's about. Programs can post one public response per review to give their side.
Our trust & safety commitments
Choosing where your child spends a season is one of the highest-stakes decisions a sports family makes. These commitments are the ground rules that make honest information safe to share and safe to rely on.
Reviewer identity is never revealed
Reviews publish as “Parent 1”, “Official 1”, or “Coach 1”. Programs never see names, emails, or the documents used for verification, so no family risks their child’s playing time by telling the truth.
No pay-for-placement in ratings
Paid features never touch scores or reviews. A program can’t buy a better rating, suppress a worse one, or pay to outrank a better-reviewed rival on trust metrics.
No minors, no personal details
Submissions may not name private individuals, and anything identifying a child is rejected in verification. Ratings describe programs, never people’s kids.
Report anything, we look at everything
Every report of a suspicious review, a misrepresented program, or a safety concern gets a human look. Verified reviews that fail re-verification come down; programs that game the system lose their profiles’ claimed status.
Where program data comes from
Program records, circuit affiliations, and tournament histories are aggregated weekly from public sources: USSSA team search, Perfect Game tournament brackets, and AAU club directories. This means every registered program has a profile on Open Clubhouse whether or not it has been claimed; transparency isn’t optional. Ratings come exclusively from verified reviewer submissions; we never invent or estimate them.
Programs can claim their profile for free to correct factual details (coach credentials, circuit, age groups) and to respond publicly to reviews. Claiming does not grant the ability to remove or edit a parent’s review.
